Diagnostic Scan & Evaluation

Bill's has the latest diagnostic hardware and software to accurately diagnose engine problems and assess repairs.

Complete repair analysis with estimate and cost breakdown is provided prior to making repairs. Older vehicles may not render all the necessary data to assess the problem. But our experienced ASE certified truck mechanics are up to task, relying on their experience to complete the diagnostic process and get your vehicle back on the road.

truck brake repair
Brake Repair

If your bus, truck, or RV is taking longer than usual to stop, the brake pedal feels spongy, or if the brakes become noisy, it may be time to have the brakes replaced.

From inspection to completion, we've got you covered. For brake repair, replacement, or scheduled maintenance, our ASE certified technicians provide quality service for your bus, truck, or RV. Properly installed brakes are essential for your vehicle's safety and functionality – regular brake inspections are recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.

truck heating & cooling
Heating & Cooling

Heating and cooling services extend past heat and air conditioning to the engine cooling system that protects your bus, truck, or RV from over-heating, which can cause permanent engine damage.

Although a vehicle's heating or cooling system can malfunction at any time of the year, fall is a good time in the Midwest for inspection. Our ASE certified technicians will inspect your system's antifreeze levels, system pressure, hoses and hose clamps, and water pump wear, then restore your heating and cooling system to optimal functionality. If you're experiencing climate control issues or want a preventative inspection, please contact us today!

truck engine repair
Engine Repair

Truck engines are the motive force of your vehicle, generating the torque to efficiently haul cargo and passengers.

Bill's Auto & Truck Repair understands diesel engines very well. We provide troubleshooting and complete mechanical service including full & partial rebuilds. We follow important manufacturer guidelines to bring engines back to manufacturer specifications.

Diesel & gasoline Engine & Transmission rebuilding services are also available at Bill's Auto & Truck Repair. It may be advisable to repair your current vehicle with a rebuilt engine. Diesel engines are usually rebuilt at 200–300K miles and may remain in service for several years. To have your bus, truck, or RV evaluated for a rebuild, please call us or use the Request Appt form.

truck transmission repair
Transmission Repair

If you're experiencing power loss or shifting problems, your transmission is in need of repair. If that's the case, contact us for an appointment for vehicle inspection to determine the best plan of action.

Truck transmissions convert engine torque into vehicle movement by automatically shifting sets of gear ratios that keep engine rpm in an efficient range. They are designed to last thousands of miles, provided they receive proper maintenance and care.

Truck transmissions may last more than 200K miles, but then will require a rebuild. A rebuilt transmission will bring your bus, truck, or RV within manufacturer specifications and extend the life of your vehicle– perhaps for years.
